Performance by Roger Arve Vigulf of "Smoking Mirrors: Symbia IIa" for
solo clarinet.
My good friend Roger Vigulf, who has mastered the performance
of my very difficult solo clarinet piece, will perform the work in Modum, Norway on August 8, 2010 at the "Glasshytta". The concert is at 2 p.m and will include other contemporary solo works for clarinet/bass clarinet by Grimsson, Vigulf, Souza, along
with a picture/film by Audun Wigen from Tjoeme.

I will once again be presenting a work on a concert of the composer collective,
Synchromy, Saturday evening, September 25.
Janus II,
written in 2001, places the audience in the center of performers and loudspeakers, creating a unique antiphonal texture.

Sabbatical, Fall 2010
I
have been awarded a sabbatical from Cal State LA for Fall, 2010. I look forward to concentrated work on my newest pieces from
June to the beginning of January 2011.
Wayne Shorter's "Nefertiti", March, 2010, CSU Dominguez Hills and Emporia State
University, Kansas
I have been included in two 2010 regional meetings of the College
Music Society, the Pacific Southwest Chapter and the Great Plains Chapter. My research on "Nefertiti" will be presented
and a recording of my "Anerfertized", a work based on that research, will be recorded and presented at that
time. The conferences are on March 20 at CSU Domniguez Hills in Los Angeles and March 27 and 28 at Emporia State University,
Emporia, Kansas.
